Ballycoolin Training Centre

Ballycoolin Regional Training Centre was officially opened in 2005 in Dublin 15 following the establishment of the Water Services National Training Group. The Centre caters for the Water Services, Roads, Environment and Fire Services training needs of Local Authority personnel in Dublin City Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Fingal County Council, Kildare County Council, Louth County Council, Meath County Council, South Dublin County Council, Westmeath County Council and Wicklow County Council as well as delivering training programmes to the private sector.
The Training Centre is located in the IDA Business Park, Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, alongside Fingal County Council’s Water Services major regional storage reservoir and depot. The Centre is easily accessible for its customer base, being adjacent to the M50 and M3 motorways.

Facilities:
A number of lecture rooms, one of which is an IT training room. Each room is equipped with integrated audio visual equipment to allow presentation delivery using a variety of technologies. The Centre also has an outdoor area complete with a range of plant and equipment which are ideal for the delivery of training courses which focus on practical skills. In addition there is a leakage detection unit and a confined space unit in the grounds of the centre.

Accreditation:
The Centre is RSA /CPC approved and in addition has a further three registered outreach training centres.
The Confined Space Unit is City and Guilds accredited for the delivery of City and Guilds Confined Space Training.
The Centre is approved by IT Carlow for delivery of the Road Programme Management Programme for Local Authority Roads Staff.
The Centre is approved by IT Blanchardstown for delivery of training programmes.
