Roscrea Training Centre

About

Roscrea Regional Training Centre was officially opened in 1999 following the establishment of the Water Services National Training Group. The Centre caters for the Water Services, Roads, Environment and Fire Services training needs of Local Authority personnel in Tipperary, Offaly, Laois, Clare, Limerick, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Wexford County/City Councils as well as delivering training programmes to the private sector.

Facilities:
Two large lecture rooms, which can be combined into one to seat up to 50 people. Each room is equipped with integrated audio visual equipment to allow presentation delivery using a variety of technologies. The Centre also houses a large indoor workshop and includes an outdoor area complete with a range of plant and equipment for the delivery of training courses that focus on practical skills. In addition there is a bespoke confined space unit and a leak detection unit.

Accreditation:
Roscrea Regional Training Centre an Approved Training Organisation registered by Solas as an accredited centre under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
The Centre is also RSA /CPC approved.
The Confined Space Unit is City and Guilds accredited for the delivery of Low and Medium Risk City and Guilds Confined Space Training.
The Centre is approved by IT Carlow for delivery of the Road Programme Management Programme for Local Authority Roads Staff.
The Centre is OHSAS 18001 Accredited.
